ConSol Partners client, a leading telecommunications provider globally, are looking for a Business Analyst with experience in GIS upgrades, preferably within the telecommunications area for a contract until the end of the year with the option of extension.

Department Information:

The job is situated within TEC NEO QEL in the team "Fiber Optics & Job Management solutions" which among other things responsible for Business Support and Management between ITS and NEO for computer programs in NEO and also be used by CuO for the rollout and documentation of the optical fiber network. The pitch is in the Proximus Towers in Brussels.

Job Description:

As a member of the "Fiber Optics & Job Management" solutions team, you play a key role in the interaction between the end users of the various applications and the IT department. You will have an important role in developing, adapting and improving appropriate, effective and efficient tools to support all processes i.v.m. installing and documenting fiber
Specifically, in this position, you play a crucial role on the user side to migrate from the graphical documentation of the public transport network of the old GIS system to the new.
Your responsibilities:
You work thoroughly in the operation of the existing tool (NIMS). You give this tool also support and possibly training to the end users.
You will thoroughly map how different user groups today use this tool concrete (today but also in the past) to document the planned infrastructure, the preparation of the implementation files to the contractors so far
You identify all direct and indirect user groups.
You work well enough in the operation of the new tool (IFH) and interactions (whether automated or not) of these tools with other systems.
You take the lead and initiative in identifying functional gaps between the two systems, and determining the data migration principles.
You validate thoroughly the detailed application and data migration specifications. Where possible, you strive for generic developments and solutions.
You take initiatives on data quality (detection, reporting, compensation, ..)
You set test scenarios, you organize user tests and will also actively participate. You do follow the life cycle of detected bugs (clarification, solution delivery, retest).
You organize with the communication to all concerned NIMS end groups, also depending on the selected migration strategy.
You contribute to the release notes, training kits, release-related training, adaptation of manuals, ..
You advise the GO/NOGO for the various functional releases and migration waves, based on user testing and the associated risks.
You will participate in the sanity checks during weekends and release to the decision in the case of blocking problems
You are the first point of contact for internal key users in case of problems, questions, possible bugs, etc. You maintain this also in close contact with the relevant IT specialists.
If bugs or production incidents, follow these actively contribute to a solution is found and implemented.

Required profile:

You are willing to thoroughly delve into the operation and interaction of the various applications used or play a role in the context of fiberglass documentation and FTT-X rollout (NIMS, IFH, Betty, GDA, Isis, ITR,...).
You have an analytical but solution-oriented approach.
You seek a thorough understanding to acquire any problem and allows you not satisfied with partial explanations.
You work structured and you have good organizational skills.
You can easily make the bridge between end users and IT experts
You have the ability to gain rapid insight into the organizational structure, processes and applications around the construction process of infrastructure in the public domain.
You have the ability to interact with others impacts in a Matrix management environment, to negotiate and align between different visions and priorities.
You have a basic knowledge of IT concepts and tools.
You have at least a Bachelor's degree level or equivalent experience
You can express yourself fluently in English and Dutch or French
