Description
Responsibilities- Installing and upgrading technology to enable other work groups such as consulting.
- Preparing for implementations
- Working on test environments, QA, Implementing systems at customer sites
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 3-5 years experience performing system implementations and providing technical support for a complex system.
- Knowledge in various project management principles, processes, and tools.
- Knowledge of mining processes and mining technologies
- Understanding of ITIL service management
- Ability to create process documents
- Systems integration knowledge
- Mechanical experience
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows), database systems (Oracle), programming or Scripting languages (Java, Python)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- 4 year degree in at least one of the following:
1. Computer Science/Programming
2. Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
3. Mining Engineering - Demonstrated strong organization skills
- Strong customer focus and customer management skills
- Motivated self-starter capable of working with others to get problems addressed quickly.
- Well-developed communication skills, and an ability to develop strong partnerships and effective relationships with customers from a diverse range of backgrounds.
- IT background + Mechanical aptitude is a great combination for this position.
- Experience with other integrated systems/networks or GPS is required.
