Description
Senior Hadoop Developer/Architect. Experience Hadoop Developer/Architect, to work on delivery of Big Data Projects for their sector/marketplace.
As a Senior Big Data Developer you will have a proven knowledge of the Hadoop Eco-system and a functional programming background, to work in the development team and ensure a smooth AWS migration.
Core skills for the role are:
- Hadoop/Cloudera
- AWS
- Strong understanding of Big Data Analytics technologies/Tools - Hive, Pig, Flume etc
- Strong experience of ETL work with Pig & Hive & understanding of data
- Nice to have - EMR, Spark,
- Background in functional programming, Java, C#, Scala, Python etc.
The role is initially a 3 month contract, based in Cambridgeshire, but commutable from surrounding counties including London.
