Description

Job Description:
  • Designing & implementing cost effective machinery modifications to enhance reliability, capacity and safety.
  • Design, implement efficient production flow through vertically integrating production equipment and processes.
  • Work closely with the Operations, Finance, R&D, and Engineering teams on key process and manufacturing technologies. This may include development, optimization and transfer of various manufacturing processes.
  • Prepares cost estimates on proposed projects and assists the Engineering Manager in the preparation of expenditure requests, as needed.
  • Has a thorough knowledge of safety, Q.C. and GMP requirements, practices and procedures and applies this knowledge when proposing or designing equipment modifications.
  • Consults frequently with department managers and department supervisors concerning work being performed in their departments.
  • Maintain understanding of processes and functional interdependencies. Recognize and escalate, as needed, those issues identified as potential risks to, or opportunities to improve plant performance.
SKILLS:

Candidate minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required in Manufacturing, Mechanical or other related Engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of Manufacturing, Engineering experience focusing on continuous improvement and project management
  • Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project)
  • Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal and Written)
  • Excellent Time Management Skills
  • Proven Facilitation Skills
  • Possess a basic Financial Understanding to ensure results are delivered on time and in full
  • Candidate preferred qualifications:
    TPM or Lean Experience
    BS Mechanical Engineering
    AutoCAD Proficiency
    New Product Development and Stage Gate Decision Experience
