The Company
A leading telecommunications networks company.
The Role
- Researching, designing, developing and module testing of (new) Embedded software:
- mainly Embedded software required for the start-up, configuration and monitoring of the network hardware;
- including hardware driver development;
- the Embedded software has to communicate with the windows management system software.
- Analysis of requirement specifications and creation of technical specifications.
- Workout innovative Embedded software solutions/architectures to comply with requirements.
- Where necessary select internal and external Embedded software components that have to be integrated into software systems.
- Constantly updating technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, and following up new applications and development platforms evolutions.
- Introducing new technologies and platforms into the development activities of the R&D group.
- Constantly optimizing the R&D development activities.
- Estimating development efforts accurately based on experience and analysis.
The Individual
- Bachelor or Master of Engineering, Master of Information Sciences or equal by experience.
- Experience in Embedded software system design, and more specific (Real Time) Linux platforms.
- Knowledge of C++ and Python.
- Experience in object-oriented analysis and design.
- Experienced with setting up unit- and component testing.
- Some experience with static code analysis would be appreciated.
