Description
Summary- The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the monthly management, analysis, validation and calculation of member eligibility and financial activity including various capitation payments for contracted Participating Providers Groups (PPG's), Hospitals and Ancillaries.
- This also includes analysis of capitation deductions, provider incentives, journal entry preparations and month-end reconciliations and preparation of monthly financial reports for contracted Participating Providers Groups (PPG's) and for all product lines of business.
- Interfaces and serves as liaison with multiple departments, provides excellent service while responding to inquiries from providers or other departments.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years relevant experience with minimum of 3 years in a healthcare setting
- Excellent advanced PC and database skills required including Excel, Word, Access and SQL.
- Must have strong accounting skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills.
- Medical-cal, Medicare and MHC/QNXT knowledge is preferred.
- Must have a Bachelors in Business Administration, Finance or related field with knowledge of general accounting principles and a minimum of 5-7 years experience in a financial setting
- Healthcare experience is preferred.
