Description- Collects and analyzes data to evaluate existing and potential products/service markets.
- Identifies and monitors competitors and researches market conditions or changes in the industry that may affect sales.
- Relies on extensive experience an judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- May coordinate the work of others to the extent their efforts might affect completion of assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in area of specialty is required.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word essential.
- Proficiency in MS Access a plus.
- Requires communication and presentation skills commensurate with presenting, defining and supporting analysis and decision to management.
- Expertise in one or more data analysis packages (eg SPSS, SAS, STATA, R, Matlab. MTab) required.
- Must have ability to manipulate large data sets including tuning and troubleshooting experience.
- Prefer experience with SQL
- Advanced-level Excel skills, including the use of macros, pivot tables, and other advanced functions are required.
- Minimum 1 year of Market Research experience (as Intern or entry-level market research role).
- Prefer 2 - 3 years prior work experience in market research role.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of basic statistics, research procedures, and survey methodology.
