SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR/MS DATABASE/MS SQL/SCRIPTING/MONITORING/NATO
*RATE: €300 - €385
*LOCATION: MONS (BELGIUM)
*DURATION: 6 months + EXTENSIONS
THE ROLE:
Responsible for the system administration of assigned systems.
- Central Enterprise administration of data centre storage systems.
- Maintain the SAN storage and implement changes as required to fix detected errors
- Identifies operational problems and contributes to their resolution.
- Hyper v Virtualization infrastructure support and Incident resolution.
- Performs analysis and implementation of user requirements.
- Implements disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Server and client platform problem resolution.
- Implements & tests new hardware/software releases.
- Contributes to the development of Standard Operating Procedures for routine system administration tasks.
- Uses system management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics.
- Carries out agreed system software maintenance tasks.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Essential Skills:
- Practical experience in the design, implementation, testing, maintenance and operation of datacentre storage management systems (such as NetApp, HP ) in a LAN/WAN environment and configuration management and maintenance procedures.
- Practical experience in the design, implementation, testing, maintenance and operation of SAN solutions.
- Practical experience in the administration and management of data stores on virtualization infrastructure.
- Practical knowledge of network protocols and network management technology
- Knowledge of standard industry virtualization and cloud infrastructure concepts
- Practical experience in administering Virtual machines in Microsoft Hyper-V Virtualization Infrastructure
- Knowledge of standard industry network Operating Systems (OS) concepts
DESIRABLE SKILLS:- Professional/Experience:
- MS SQL Cluster technology administration
- Previous experience in a Military environment
- Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) concepts
- Knowledge/Experience in VMware Virtualization (esxi 5.0 minimum)
- Netapp Snap Manager for SQL
- INFOSEC (COMPUSEC)
