For our client in Leeuwarden we are looking for an IT DevOps Engineer (Document Management).
For our document management teams we are looking for creative, passionate IT engineer. The Document Management department is responsible for the development and maintenance of all applications with regard to document composition, print management, scanning / data capture and archiving. We are working with state of the art software packages from Ricoh and EMC2.
As part of the Capture team you will have a crucial role in provisioning a platform for the Businesses to efficiently process different types of communication (paper, email, etc.) from the customers. You will be responsible for developing and supporting applications/tools for the business partners with 7*24 availability. You will contribute to the team's strategy of rolling out upgrades and maintaining performance, availability, monitoring, security and the Continuous Delivery pipeline. Together with other DevOps Engineers in your team you will work according to the Scrum methodology.
With experience of Enterprise Content Management you are specialized in Customer Content and the role it plays in the relationship with the customer, services and risk control. Knowledge and experience of the following are expected: Content Capture, Content Recognition, Content Classification and event based/Batch Processing of Documents.
Your main tasks will be
- Detailing user stories during refinement sessions
- Testing and implementing patches/releases of Captiva and its related components in two-week sprints
- Maintain and improve the Continuous Delivery Pipeline
- Maintain and improve the Powershell scripts and .NET applications
- Maintain and improve Captiva API's
- Maintain and improve the logging software and the monitoring software
- Participating in the further growth and implementation of Continuous Delivery tooling
- Lifecycle & Risk management
- Daily operations and control
- Communicate with the international supplier EMC of the software package Captiva about improvements, requests, roadmap e.g.
Technical Role Requirements
- Completed a bachelor's or master's degree in a technical IT study
Knowledge of and extensive experience with:
- Working in a high volume Content Capture environment
- Working according to the Agile/Scrum method as well as with the DevOps method and ITIL.
- Wintel environment.
- MS Visual Studio and .NET framework
- Building and testing Windows scripts
- MS SQL
- Continuous Delivery tooling; e.g. Nolio, Jenkins, GITlab.
- Test approach and test tooling; e.g. Agile testing, UFT, ALM.
- Monitoring tooling; e.g. ElasticSearch, Logstash and Kibana.
- Captiva 7.1 or a similar Content Capture package is a pre
Knowledge and experience of XML (XPath, XSD, XQuery, XSLT) and data modelling is considered to be an advantage.
Experience with JAVA and Wintel scripting, TIBCO and HTML is considered to be an advantage.
Experience with REST services / API's is considered to be an advantage.
Also, you are fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and in writing.

The Content Capture team within the Document Management department is responsible for the development, lifecycle management and operations of EMC2's Captiva implementation and its related components. Captiva is part of the ECM suite, which is delivered by the supplier EMC2.
The software package Captiva is the standard target solution for customer communication. Captiva is used for a various of input channels like Scan, Email and Network Directory. At this moment pages are captured every day and is expected to grow until pages per day. The events are handled both in batch and single page mode.
Currently the Capture applications are focussed on centralized capture, but it is expected that mobile capture will be implemented in the near future.
You additionally actively participate in the Scrum process and in Continuous Delivery Engineering Practices. You will play a positive role with your DevOps team growing the experience and knowledge within your team.
As an IT DevOps Engineer at Document Management you and 6 other enthusiastic professional colleagues will work together in a DevOps team in Leeuwarden (The Netherlands). The first few months you must be willing to work at our office in Arnhem as well as in Leeuwarden. Delivering a generic service, it's important that you are proactive and be focused on delivering a continuous improvement of the domestic Dutch Customer Experience. Working in Leeuwarden at Document Management will bring you a complex and challenging working environment.
