Description

My client, a leading banking organisation is looking for a Senior Money Markets Product Controller to help support current BAU processes and surrounding project work streams.

Responsibilities:

  • Production, analysis and commentary on the MM, Repo Trading and FX trading P&L,
  • Review, evaluate and mitigate potential risks
  • Production of Customer Liabilities MI.
  • Support wider project work streams to improve the clarity surrounding the Money Market P&L and Balance sheet.
  • Sourcing close of business market data, and price verification of MM and FX positions,
  • Managing the General Ledger and other associated business controls.
  • Daily production of Money markets balance sheet and P&L
  • Production of MI and commentary supporting desk sign off of P&L.
  • Initiate and deliver agreed change programmes to achieve continuous improvement

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Ideally exposure to Money Market products - Loans, Deposits, Interest Rate Swaps
  • Excellent Academic record including relevant numerical/financial based degree. IT and/or computer science components of degree are advantageous
  • Ability to analyse large volumes of data
  • Ability to work as part of a team and escalate issues promptly
  • Strong Access, preferably to VBA, strong Excel, to at least Pivot table and Macro level
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to deliver to challenging deadlines
  • A working knowledge of Summit 5.5, SAP, Oracle GL and Business Objects would be an advantage
  • Control-based approach to work
