We have a 6 - 12 month opportunity for an exceptional C++ Software Engineer to work on the next entry of software for a number of upcoming space missions. This is your opportunity to be part of something big!
We are looking for contractors who can demonstrate Demonstrable experience of developing C and C++ applications running under Microsoft Windows and linux. The role is locate in Surrey and is near enough to London.
As a member of the Software Team you will be developing ground-based satellite mission software in areas such as:
- Mission Control applications
- Spacecraft Software
- Supersonic Space flight simulation technology
Knowledge & Skills Essential
- Excellent C and Modern C++ on Windows and Linux
- GUI development in C++
- Thorough understanding of object-oriented design
- Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP
- Experience of full software life cycle from requirements capture through to design, implementation and all levels of testing
- MS Visual Studio 2010
Desirable
- MFC
- wxWidget
- CLI
- UML
- Java
- GIT or other version control systems
- Eclipse
- Experience of the space sector
Ideally you'll have a good Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computing or similar subject.
