Proteus Europe is searching for a couple of Configuration Managers for one of our prestigious clients in Holland. This will be a long term project involved with a far reaching specification involving the Internet of Things (IOT).

Your New role:
Our client's user connected propositions contain re-usable components, within an increasingly open ecosystem. They also use current connectivity standards and cloud services. In short, they empower people. Our clients Connected Digital Propositions team of which you'll be a part helps deliver best-in-class, end-to-end solutions. These include connected hardware, appliances, medical devices and wearables, and leading mobile apps across all major OS platforms. The team also develops various Back End cloud systems that integrate with these propositions.
The team works according to Agile principles, following SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) processes. You will work on highly innovative, first-of-their-kind propositions that are new within our client, so an entrepreneurial mind-set is an advantage. Together with your team, you will strive for continuous improvement of deliverables, your way of working and yourself.
Your responsibilities
As Senior Configuration Manager you are responsible for:
- Active contribution and steering of all aspects of agile software development related to configuration management, build management, and release management
- Setting up and maintaining an efficient configuration management, build management, release management, and change management framework within a project
- The build and test automation process
- The, for your role, relevant documentation
- The tool validation of the chosen CM tools
- Suggesting improvements in retrospectives and making a substantial contribution to the innovation of products and process
- Assess, Identify and drive competence development of yourself and the team in your domain.
Your Skills and experience:
Essential Skills:
We are looking for someone with a:
- Masters degree in SW Engineering, Informatics, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in (networked) product development, at least 2 years as software configuration manager
- Proven track record in development methodologies like Agile/Scrum/V-Model
- Set of strong technical skills in configuration management (configuration items identification, version control, build management, release management, change management)
- Experience with build and test automation
- Experience with multi-site software development from a configuration management perspective
- Experience with software configuration management for medical software is an advantage
- Experience with applying configuration management in Agile/Scrum projects is an advantage.

- Enjoy working in cross-functional teams
- Are curious, open and feel at home in an international environment
- Have an affinity with innovative development projects and feel comfortable with relatively vague requirements
