Scala Developer (Scala, AKKA, Play, Agile, TDD)
Arrows Group on behalf of their client is currently looking for at least 2 Scala Developers (Scala, AKKA, Play, NoSQL, Agile, TDD) - one pair to join their team and help them building applications written in Scala. It is an Agile, Kanban, loose Scrum type of enviroment.
*** A 6 month contract with a very definite chance of extension!!!***
The Scala developer(Scala, AKKA, Play, NoSQL, Agile, TDD) will join a great team made up of other contractors (currently 6 other devs - 3 pairs). The team is striving for best practices, eager to try out new technologies, open to new ideas whilst delivering quality software, in a fun and trusting environment! The Scala developer(Scala, AKKA, Play, NoSQL, Agile, TDD) will have the unique opportunity of gaining varied experiences across a range of the client's products.
Client is based in London & willing to pay £500-£700 depending on your experience and level of seniority.
Main skills they will be looking for are:
* Scala, AKKA, Play framework (if you have little Scala experience but would like to learn - any experience with Java would be a plus, though is not essential)
* An Agile mind-set and experience
* Experience of Paired Programming is essential
* Extensive experience with TDD & BDD using Cucamber
* Championing Agile practices such as Pair Programming, TDD, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
* MySQL & NoSQL databases eg. MongoDB, MariaDB etc.
