We are currently recruiting a Estates Surveyor to be based in Inner London for an initial period of 12 months with possible extension

Additional qualifications required for this role
We are looking for a more experienced MRICS qualified estate surveyors to work on the £1.3bn prison Estate Transformation Programme with experience and expertise in some of the following areas: Site finding/identification Identification of land for potential disposal Land Development Town Planning Achieving best value from land and building Disposals Strategic Asset management Stakeholder engagement Management of consultants Must be ready to work in a fast-paced and demanding programme environment.
Key tasks and deliverables
The surveyors recruited will potentially represent the department on major land transactions. Risks of this will be mitigated by
1) ensuring that permanent staff are fully involved in high risk areas and act as a mentor and contact point to ensure that organisational knowledge is transferred to the contractors,
2) all transactions will be formally approved through the Clients disposals assurance process
Experience Required

The surveyors will work as part of the team and wherever possible will be assisted by permanent members of the team and potentially Junior trainee surveyor team members. Skills and knowledge transfer will occur through this route and where appropriate we will ensure that the contracted resource contributes to the masterclass programme where members of the team make presentations to the rest of the team to transfer skills and knowledge.
