Fund Governance Manager - Governance - Compliance - Mutual Funds
Reporting to the Senior Fund Governance Manager, with responsibility for ensuring that the necessary frameworks and resources are maintained to satisfy the legal and regulatory requirements of all the fund structures.
Main Responsibilities will cover:
Co-ordinate liaison with the Board of Directors
Ensure appropriate policies are put in place to ensure that all legal and regulatory obligations are fully discharged
Oversee the implementation of such policies by relevant departments
Given governance structures to ensure appropriate practices exist to manage potential conflicts of interest between relevant affiliate companies
To ensure that customer interests within the ranges of funds are properly considered in relation to changes in fund investment policies and mandates
To ensure appropriate, accurate, comprehensive management information is provided to governance committees, including the Unit Trust Managers Funds Committee
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Good knowledge of fund structures including, unit trusts, insurance companies, UCITS, OEICs, SICAVs, QIAIFs,etc
Good knowledge of regulatory environments - both in the UK, Europe
Broad knowledge of regulatory environments - North America, Asia Pacific & Middle East.
A demonstrable ability to network and build relationships within an organisation
Strong ability to present information effectively, provide relevant management information and to communicate effectively at all levels
A Can Do attitude
Strong attention to detail - including ability to analyse data
