Core-Asset Consulting's clients, an international banking organisation, are looking for a Senior Development Officer, to join their team in Stirling for an initial contract of 6 months.
The successful candidate will work the occasional weekend as required by business and will also will have the option of working from home 1 to 2 days per week after the initial training period.
Core responsibilities:
- To gain skills in a combination of functions such as programming, analysis and support for the Treasury IT systems
- Responsible for performing system development work, which can include both the development of new function and facilities and the on-going systems support of live systems
- Ensuring that accurate, clear, commented and efficient program code is produced from a wide range of specifications
- Responsible for creating functional and/or technical design solutions and ensuring those requirements are documented
- Document designs of new IT features for others to develop and build, or document changes to small systems for others to carry out
- Carry out implementation planning and support
- Taking instructions, usually in written or diagrammatic form, and translating them into a code
Core skills:
- Ability to foster internal and external relationships
- Demonstrate and apply comprehensive business domain knowledge
- Confident in using own initiative
Core requirements:
- Sungard G1 Development or Support Experience is essential
- Extensive experience in the Finance and Banking industry environment (and more specifically within Securities Services)
