Position: Sr. Accountant
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Duration: 4 Months
Position Comments:
- This position is focused on accounting for investments and includes posting journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and preparing reports for other departments within the company.
Job Description:
- Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Responsibilities also include analysing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
- Reports organization's finances to management, and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- Will be working within the Closing Process, posting journal entries and reconciling to an internal database.
- Must have excellent Microsoft office and Excel skills to generate reports for upper management and other departments.
- 3 - 5 years of Accounting experience required.
Additional Skills:
- General ledger account reconciliation and journal entry preparation.
