Press Officer, Press Advisor, Media Officer, Media Advisor, Government, Public SectorI am currently on the hunt for a Press Officer to join my client on a 4 Month contract based in Central London, Near London Bridge Station.
My client is looking for someone with successful experience of delivering a broad range of press and media relations services within an organisation. The ideal candidate must be able provide reactive communications for the press office, carry out on-call duties, create communications strategies to promote key areas of College work and engage with police forces to build relations
Essential Experience:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including accurate use of language and grammar
- Proven ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Experience of working in a public sector and/or policing environment
- Excellent negotiating and networking skills, able to form beneficial working relationships internally and externally
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Experience of delivering crisis management communications to protect organisational reputation
- Experience of using social media and maximising benefits of social media channels
- Experience in using media databases to support effective delivery of media relations activity
- Ability to negotiate and influence internal customers up to senior management levels with conflicting priorities
- Strong political acumen and understanding of current affairs and political issues
- Proven creativity in developing campaigns that will engage and interest external stakeholders
