To act in the role of Technical Subject Matter Expert for application and web services design and systems integration for our next generation product.
Responsibilities:
Logical and Physical Architecture Analysis; Manage Guidelines and Best Practices for distributed applications developed on the Microsoft and/or Java technology stack; Assist & support other teams (mainly Development and QA) and provide mentoring expertise to developers.
Skills:
Knowledge of and experience applying up-to-date design patterns w/a focus on how these are implemented either in C# on the .NET platform or in Java on the J2EE platform. Experience building secure and scalable web applications using either ASP.NET or Spring Framework. Experience of web service design and implementation using Microsoft WCF or Java Spring. Experience in assessment and reviewing of third party code from the perspectives of maintainability, security, performance and scalability is a very desirable plus. Practical knowledge of Source Control Management, specifically branching, tagging and merging of different code streams. Experience of technical leadership of software developers. Experience of interfacing w/project management. Ability to write moderate to complex T-SQL queries needed to investigate data issues, repair damaged data, and migrate data to new structures. Familiarity w/tuning and performance optimization techniques on .NET and/or Java.
Education:
Bachelor degree in Science or Engineering. Minimum of five years of leadership experience in software development, architecture, and technology.
