Key Tasks/Accountabilities

  • Close monitoring of accommodation performance, in terms of volume, occupancy and revenue that supports tactical trading and annual pricing strategy by evaluating, understanding and interpreting from a range of data sources.
  • Responsible for coordinating and communicating new product initiatives and developments to all relevant internal departments through expert planning and organisation.
  • A key influencer in campaign delivery which directly supports accommodation; to be able to participate, generate and implement ideas that will positively impact performance and to drive any product development components as part of this.
  • Responsible for building internal and external relationships including:
  • To support the APM in the liaison with site operations, estates and financial teams to ensure that information is gathered and then clearly communicated back out effectively to the Commercial department.
  • Required to sign off on content created for press releases, printed material including magazine, biennial handbook and on site literature and e-newsletters.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive competitor database and to keep well-informed of the advances in the UK accommodation sector, understanding industry trends and external market influences. As required, be able to present recommendations to support the strategic aims of the business.

Key Skills/Experience required

  • Able to work independently as well as part of a small team and work across functions and departments
  • Proven track record of excellent planning and organisational skills showing ability to manage a number of tasks at once and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to gather, interpret and provide recommendations (experience in using data analytics tools is desirable)
  • Experience in preparing and collating business cases for senior management
  • Confident presenter and comfortable expressing opinions when in working groups
  • Attention to detail and being thorough is paramount
  • Able to take personal ownership to resolve issues
  • To use own initiative and be able to escalate ideas and improvements
  • Able to communicate and tailor messages clearly and effectively to different audiences
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge and understanding of the business and its network of sites
