Web Developer required for a large organisation based in Ireland.
We are looking for a Web Developer who will work in an Agile team to implement the User Interface for PTRM.
This is a unique opportunity to join a team of highly motivated individuals and contribute to designing our target UI design framework.
Key Accountabilities:
The key accountabilities for this role are:
- Design and Development of performance-critical subsystems.
- Implementing in MySQL, NodeJS, HTML5/Javascript (JQWidgets framework)
- Breaking down complex functionalities into simple components.
- Providing accurate tasks estimates.
- Producing clear and accurate documentation of system interfaces and workflows.
- Coaching junior and intermediate team members in HTML5/Javascript/NodeJS, participate in code reviews.
- Actively contributing to continuous code improvement.
- Working with other teams on overall trading system design.
Knowledge & Skills required:
- Advanced experience in Web Development in a Linux/Unix Environment.
- Linux/Unix Shell Scripting (Bash plus Perl/Python or equivalent)
- At least 3+ years' experience using HTML5/Javascript frameworks
- Expert knowledge of NodeJS
- Expert knowledge of SQL and relational database design
- Good grasp of latency and performance implications of UI software design.
- Practical experience in designing secure web applications
- Familiar with event driven programming.
- Familiar with Dev/Ops concepts (continuous integration and continuous deployment).
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Familiarity with Git source code version management.
- Excellent communication skills & team work.
- Demonstrable ability to be confident, pragmatic and tenacious and work as a self-starter requiring limited supervision.
- Fluent English.
Desirable:
- UX and User Interface design skills
- Finance Industry Experience
- Familiarity with JQWidgets, CSS3, jQuery, Bootstrap etc. will be a plus.
- Java, C/C++ desirable
- Development experience under an Agile Framework.
French speaking knowledge a plus.
