Role: MQ System Administrator

Location: Brussels

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months+

Rate: Circa €500/day all in

Languages: English AND Dutch/French

Next Ventures are currently recruiting for an MQ System Administrator to join a leading financial client in Brussels on a long-term contract. You must be a passport holder, and fluent in either French or Dutch.

Responsibilities and main tasks:

  • Administration of the existing infra (manage Servers, queues managers)
  • Create queue managers and queues
  • Prepare, document, plan, organizes, execute, and validate changes
  • Contribute to projects for the MQ part
  • Follow-up incidents and participate to root cause analysis
  • Participate to support of the infrastructure
  • Analyse possibilities to automates activities, propose solutions and implement it

Mandatory Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years in MQ Administration
  • Broad knowledge of IBM MQ (up to v7.5 minimum)
  • Knowledge of MQ server and client setup and management
  • Knowledge and experience of automation and Scripting in MQ environments
  • Discuss with the internal client all along the projects life cycle
  • Set up, monitor, report and review SLA's with responsible maintenance departments
  • Ensure a good working relationship is established with all necessary support organizations both internal and external
  • Coordinates the escalations when the projects are in production

Nice to have:

  • Recent successful proven experience(s) in similar/comparable environment
  • Knowledge of MQ v8
  • Knowledge and experience with high availability environments
  • Knowledge of IIB (IBM Integration Bus, previously called WMB: at least v7, preferably v9)
