Description Of The Business Line Or Department

The Client Marketing team is responsible for the management of Industry Awards and Survey Rankings from third party providers such as IFR, Euromoney and RISK Magazine. This responsibility stretches across all of the three areas of SGCIB's investment banking business, including Coverage and Corporate Finance, Financing and Global Markets. The team further has a mandate to run the Global Markets Key Client Marketing Program as part of a multi layered Marketing approach covering Operational, Business Line Specific and Strategic Marketing.

Summary

In support of the annual awards process, which pursues to win chosen industry awards

  • Work with the head of the team and the head of awards on all award campaigns across the different media titles
  • Produce award submissions that present a strong case and take the market, the competition and the Banks differentiating factors into account
  • Work on all related activity including media programs and monitoring of progress as well as production of content relating the our 24/7 pitching philosophy.

Responsibilities

  • Production of content relating to awards related work
    • KJP talking points
    • Monitoring sheets
    • Awards pitch presentations
  • Review material for awards submission from business lines and convert into language and content that is suitable for awards presentations
  • Analyse and use market themes and developments to support our business case
  • Analyse and use peer performance and developments to support our business case
  • Writing of awards pitch presentations
  • Liaison with business contacts to source appropriate content for the award submissions
  • Proof reading of content
  • Quality assurance of award presentations

Competencies and Work Experience

  • excellent writing skills
  • Detailed understanding of the financial markets
  • Detailed understanding of the products in the financial markets, especially derivatives
  • Ability to digest big amounts of information and convert into summarised stories
  • Understand mindset and thinking of financial journalists in the context of award decisions
  • Worked in large complex organisations
  • Worked as part of large teams and a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills especially in ppt format
  • Communication and marketing experience either from within a Financial Institution or working with a financial institution is a must
  • Ability to work with senior management

Qualifications

Education

  • University degree

Languages: English, French would be an advantage
