Oracle DBA 3 months Limerick
My client a global leader in their space is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Oracle DBA to join them on a Contract for 3 months initially in Limerick.
You will be responsible for supporting the databases and ensuring their performance, availability and security and for performing installation of database software in both clustered and non-clustered environments. The ability to proactively monitor the database systems to ensure a secure environment with minimum downtime is required. The DBA is also responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases, including rollouts, upgrades, and backups.
Successful candidate will be familiar with RDBMS concepts, practices, and procedures; you will have knowledge in a broad range of Oracle database management systems. You will have extensive experience with Oracle9i, Oracle10g and Oracle11g, as well as RAC knowledge, MySQL and SQLServer would be a plus. You will typically have 6-8 years of commercial experience. Tihs role may be open for extension, it is common for my client to extend 3 months rolling contracts.
