Description- Design and Develop Tableau reports and dashboards
- Provide operational support for existing Tableau reports/dashboards
- Provide subject matter expertise for designing of Tableau workbooks
- Participate in analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support of dashboards and reports
- Perform impact analysis and validation of existing production reports and universes after application and database upgrade
- Interface with business analysts and/or users to clarify requirements. Work closely with the different business groups to cater to their reporting and dashboard needs.
- Analyze, design and develop BO universes, webi and Crystal Reports
- Troubleshoot dashboard and report problems independently, determining the root cause and fixing the problem.
- Understand reporting database schema/model, identify joins/tables, and perform data analysis.
- Experience building complex dashboards using Tableau
- Implement industry BI standards and best practices
- Perform all development activities independently
- Proactively identifies problems/issues/risks and provide solutions
- Develop report and dashboards using Business Objects and Tableau and Provide status updates on regular basis and be committed to aggressive delivery timelines
Skills Required
- Must have 3+ years of Experience in Tableau Desktop with knowledge on Tableau Server
- 6+ years of Business Objects Universe development, Crystal/webi reports, SQL server and Oracle development.
- Must have experience in BO 4.1
- 6+ years of Very strong Business Objects universe development
- 6+ years of strong database skills -Oracle 10g/11g, SQL Server 2008 highly preferred
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills for assessment of complex production support issues and ability to recommend/implement quick and effective solutions
- Very Strong in writing complex SQL code, functions, stored procedures and ability to perform data validation and analysis.
- Must be willing to become expert in SQL and stored procedure development in and Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle environments.
- Performance tuning/analysis/optimization of reports and SQL
- Previous experience in using Change Management and IT Ticketing tools for managing incidents and issues resolution is a plus
- Must be a self-starter, enthusiastic and quick learner.
- Must be comfortable in self-managing assigned work, ensuring that priority tasks are handled appropriately.
- Need an expert understanding of Dashboard presentations at the executive level. Also need excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Experience with SSRS
- Knowledge of ETL tools like BO Data services Designer, Informatica
