Description

Our client, a large UK retail bank, are looking for a Customer Insight Analyst to join the Discretionary Activities arm of their Implementation Team. The role will be a contract initially running until the end of December, based in Bristol.

The Implementation team are responsible for managing our marketing data systems, delivering customer facing Insights activity including leads, direct marketing and research selections.

They are not looking for a pure Analyst or a technical individual but someone who has experience of marketing campaigns or marketing activities involving (customer) data or databases; that said, you will need to have analytical skills.

Using Teradata's "Aprimo Relationship Manager" (ARM) software & the Group Data Warehouse (GDW), the successful candidate will build, design & test campaign data sets to the specification of a Campaign Brief.

You will require strong attention to detail and the ability to liaise with many stakeholders when dealing with campaign set up, test issues and queries. This is an operational role and previous experience of such an environment where attention to detail and rigour is key will be beneficial.

Full training will be provided for the successful candidate (including SQL skills for interrogation of data on GDW) but an understanding of Marketing and Campaign Management will be considered highly favourable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:-

1. Working as part of a cross functional team to implement a Customer Interaction Plan into the Marketing Systems

2. Design, implement & test new contact programmes that will deliver significant value for business teams in product, channel and brand

3. Support the transfer ad-hoc campaign activity into continuous trigger based communications that are highly automated

4. Seamlessly transfer ongoing activity into the execution team in robust and timely manner

5. Increase the sophistication of customer messaging to deliver highly personalised interactions to customers through their channel of choice

Key Accountabilities for this role include:

  • Undertake a range of activities to support Campaign Selection and Execution standards. Exercise positive controls; understanding the importance of accuracy and timeliness as well as the impact those controls have on the overall customer interaction plan
  • Monitor & actively improve Campaign Selection and Execution timescales and quality measures. Achieve robust campaign selection and execution via a consistent approach and streamlined production, optimising selection campaign tools
  • Support and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers, colleagues and peers to obtain/exchange information, identify best practices and where appropriate ascertain future customer requirements
  • Ensure compliance with the Bank's procedure guidelines, reporting requirements and books of instructions as well as any relevant and statutory requirements

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience of analytics or evidence of analytical thinking
  • Evidence of a strong attention to detail

(Preferable not essential)

  • Experience in using marketing campaign management software to create customer driven campaigns and advantage
  • Knowledge of a standard campaign project delivery life cycle
