Security Architect - CISSP, CISM or CISA - Epsom - £500pd
My client is looking for an initial 12 month contract Security Architect to be part of the Information Security team alongside the enterprise, application and infrastructure architects. The candidate will be responsible for documenting and maintaining the security of their IT networks and systems. Stay ahead of the curve on security developments, anticipating threats and reducing security risks.
Responsibilities for this role include:
Establish a fit for purpose target solution architecture and roadmap, developing this as the business evolves.
Help to define and agree security principles as they relate to the security architecture.
Raise and resolve any architectural issues/risks that could have implications against the security model.
Ideally degree qualified or equivalent with a relevant Information Security qualification; CISSP, CISM or CISA preferred.
Experience of writing high quality, fit for purpose Information Security architecture documents, policies, processes and standards.
Keep ahead of new threats and abreast of new security technology in order to define strategies and implement measures to counteract threats.
Evaluate all projected notable alterations against the overall IT security architecture and highlight impact of all changes on existing infrastructure / applications.
Expertise in Windows and IP intranet/internet security environments including firewalls, intrusion detection, incident response, vulnerability testing, operating system hardening, regulatory compliance and data classification.
Expertise in user access controls and associated processes.
Solid knowledge of corporate security and network policies and procedures.
Expert knowledge and understanding of PCI DSS, ISO 27001, COBIT and ITIL frameworks.
Necessary confidence and gravitas to deal with senior business owners; strong presentation skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate at multiple levels within the company.
Ability to develop effective solutions for diverse and complex business problems.
Demonstrated ability to successfully prioritise and deliver high quality, accurate work within tight deadlines; enthusiasm to embrace change and complexity.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment
