Senior Data Scientist
As a Senior Data Scientist you will be responsible for analytical projects which aim to improve the bank's business strategy, based on objective data analyses.
Role:
As a first priority, you will address diversified business problems focused on security like financial fraud, systems intrusion or user accesses abuse. You'll also have the opportunity to provide your contribution to the development of data driven solutions related to other bank topics like Marketing & Sales, Finance & Accounting or Business Processes.

In respect to the focus of a first mission, your role consists of
- Work with business and technology stakeholders, subject matter experts, team leaders and other data scientists to extract more value from company's unique finance data set and serve clients
- Contribute to the design of fraud detection approaches mixing human knowledge and machine learning in compliance to the relevant performance trade-offs
- Support effective data management: contribute to specification of data requirements;
- Create data pipelines; create logical/physical data models adapted to the needs of an analytical environment
- Design algorithms to identify fraudulent activity of all kinds
- Produce evaluations of the quality of detection algorithms (fraud detection is an unsupervised problem!).
Education:
- University Master in IT, Engineering or equivalent.
- English language.
- French or Dutch is a plus.
Profile:
- 5 years of professional experience in Information Security Technology.
- You are able to define, design and develop data pipelines to manipulate large, complex, high-dimensional datasets using different programming languages like SQL, R, Python, Spark, Scala, Julia;
- You can create the physical/logical design of a database.
- You have experience with data analytics like: data science/data mining, statistics, computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, psychology or sociology.
- Experience with several NoSQL databases and/or streaming data is a plus.
- Experience in IT security and/or Banking is a plus;
- Experience with text analytics, graph mining and/or deep learning.
