Continuous improvement engineer



The IPT Inbound is responsible to timely deliver all purchased starting and packaging materials and to produce intermediates to support the different IPTs. The scope IPT Inbound contains: Medi a Intermediates, Service Unit, all Warehousing activities (including incoming goods receipt) and the supporting activities Planning & Purchasing and Improvement. The size of the IPTis app. 80 FTE.



The position



The primary purpose of the position is to identify, lead and support continuous improvement initiatives for media production, warehousing, logistics, planning & vendor management within the IPT. Currently, the main focus of the strategy within the IPT is creating stability within the processes using Value Stream Mapping. Additionally, the Continuous Improvement Engineer assures effective application of Lean Six Sigma methods in problem solving, leads continuous improvement projects and facilitates Kaizen events. The Continuous Improvement Engineer transfers and develops knowledge of Lean Six Sigma within the IPT as well. The Improvement Engineer reports to the Improvement Lead Inbound.



The Continuous Improvement Engineer will be responsible for:



- Create stability within the processes using Value Stream Mapping and implementing standardized work;

- Initiating and coordinating improvement initiatives on department/IPT level by proposing improvements and standardization, monitoring reports, leading Kaizen events and by training and coaching personnel;

- Contributing to a data driven decision making process and visualizing problems, progress and results;

- Utilizing tracking and reporting systems for analytical purposes, preparing plans and updating metrics, driving performance and assuring timely completion of improvements and goals.



 Qualifications



- Bachelor's degree;

- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a continuous improvement role (Certified Lean Six Sigma Green or Black belt);

- Knowledge of Process Technology, Operations Management, Logistics or Packaging & Raw material s is a pre.

- Strong project management and change management skills;

- Demonstrated experience in the use of continuous improvement tools and methodologies; Value Stream Mapping is a pre

- Experienced in training, coaching and guiding people;

- Energetic and enthusiastic team player;

- Strong analytical skills and ability to learn;

- Strong communication skills and people-oriented coaching, Results oriented and ability to drive change;

- Dutch and English Communication skills
