Description
Software QA Test Lead is required for a leading Insurance organisation to work onsite at one of their offices based in Manila. As the QA test Lead you will be Responsible for designing, developing, and executing quality assurance and control processes, test strategies, test plans and test cases that verify a software's/application's conformance to defined acceptance criteria and feature design documents, as well as application standards.
Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance
- Design, document and implement test strategies, plans, processes and standards
- Develop and implement automated testing to maintain quality of systems/applications
- Lead a team of testers including business users on the execution of user acceptance testing
System development
- Own the QA role throughout each project.
- Maintain the defect management life cycle, using a collaborative defect tracking tool
- Maintain subject matter expertise for the systems under test and use that expertise to create, maintain, and extend the test case library.
- Understand our development life cycle and participate in its continuous improvement.
Business Requirements
- Collaborate with the business and development teams to produce requirements that are well-documented and clear.
- Analyse and understand requirements and devise a test strategy to adequately cover the requirements, develop high- level test scenarios that implement the strategy and elaborate scenarios into detailed test cases.
Reporting
Prepare daily test status reports during the testing stage of the project
Assess opportunities for application and process improvements, prepares documentation of rationale and correspondingly enhance affected systems.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of software test lead experience
Minimum 4 years of enterprise software testing experience
Demonstrated experience in Agile Methods
Experience with and/or working knowledge of networking technologies and protocols such as:
o IP Networks, routing, switching, WLAN, VLAN technologies
o Network-based authentication, NAC, LDAP and Active Directory
o Network management systems such as DHCP, SNMP, DNS,
o Security Event and Information Management (SEIM),
o Log Aggregation, Intrusion detection and prevention (IDS/IPS), etc.
Familiarity with development practices like Unit Testing, Test-Driven
Familiarity with one or more Scripting/programming languages and/or tools such as: C++, C, MySQL, Perl, JAVA, Python, is a big plus
Familiarity with Jenkins, Hudson, Bamboo, JIRA or similar continuous integration tools
