Senior Accountant - Construction
Duration: 8 month assignment (W2); may convert for the right candidate

Job Description:
- Looking for Senior Accountant or very sharp Staff Accountant with a good grasp on the relationship between sub-ledgers and the general ledger
Responsibilities:
- Accounting for construction projects
- Project closure experience
- Preparing journal entries
- Month end financial statement analysis
- Special projects
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 6 years' direct relevant experience
- Property or Construction Accounting experience
- Candidates should not be job hoppers who have moved from job to job
- Should show upward mobility within an organization and/or an upward progression in work history
Required Skills:
- True analytical skills
- Strong MS Excel skills
- PeopleSoft General Ledger systems
- PeopleSoft Asset Management System
- PeopleSoft Project Costing System
- Excellent communication skills
- Willing to perform detail work
- Good follow-up skills
- Must be a team player and have a strong work ethic
- Must be able to function with minimal supervision
Preferred Education and Experience:
- CPA or Master's Degree
- Health care experience
