Scheduler - VOD/Media/Production
My client, a market leading Broadcast/Media organisation, are currently recruiting for a contract Schedules Operations Assistant based in London. The Scheduler will work closely with the editors and the Managing Editor to co-ordinate the daily running of units including scheduling staff, managing the day to day running of the office departments, providing management information and support. The Scheduler will form part of a larger team to ensure a smooth flow of information and best practise across the Editorial community.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure all activities of and information on the activities of the Editorial Team is up to date and accurate in all systems.
- Where appropriate, to operate to a defined standard, across a number of other scheduling and information systems. eg CSS, SAP, Excel
- To assist the Editors in coordinating new projects, whether by running meetings, drafting communications, or identifying key risks and issues.
- To ensure efficient use of resources by maintaining rotas, arranging additional editorial cover, buying and collapsing shifts and administration of annual leave.
- Working with the team and others to plan the effective forward deployment of staff.
Experience:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and productive in a pressurised environment.
- Excellent organisational skills. An understanding of the principals of project management would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience of organising schedules.
- To serve as the central point of contact in a busy office.
- A good knowledge of the key production and delivery tools in use in a tri media environment.
- To be able to learn and apply new software systems and to understand the context in which they are used.
- A good understanding of the programme production process.
- Ability to build new relationships
- Good influencing and persuading skills
