Manufacturing Process Engineer 6 months @ £35 p/hr
The purpose of this position is to provide process engineering and project support to new product development activity. The role will support Operations, R&D and the Make To Order business unit on new product/process development, production engineering and continual improvement programmes.
Key Responsibilities are:
- Process Planning/Methods Engineering
- Creation of Detailed Manufacturing Routes
- Computer Aided Manufacture (CAM/CNC)
- Continuous improvement
- Statistical Process Control
To ensure that the engineering process meets all corporate and regulatory requirements for Quality, Health, Safety and Environment.
To ensure all manufacturing solutions and manufacturing related documentation is accurate, meet all corporate and regulatory requirements: to include required project documentation including risk assessments/process FMEA's etc.
Adherence to departmental policies and procedures in line with the companies quality systems and standards.
Representing Engineering, within project core teams throughout the organisation.
To carry out such further tasks that may be delegated by immediate management.
Personal traits and experience
- Capable of developing a productive working relationship with Manufacturing Operations to define and prioritise work tasks.
- Can do attitude/solution driven.
- Experience of working with GMP & GDP (Good Manufacturing/Documentation Practices).
- Minimum of Degree in engineering or relevant technical discipline.
- Practical experience of process and machine development is desirable.
- Capable of devising, implementing, monitor and manage project plans.
- Computer literacy especially with respect to Office based tools including MS Project management, Word, Excel, Visio, Mind Manager, Mini Tab, SPC Software
- Experience of validation within a regulated environment (ISO , FDA QSR regulations)
- Qualified in Process Excellence/Six Sigma type environment preferable. (Black/Green Belt)
