Description
Summary:- The Senior SQL Strategist is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting database solutions involving business data exchange, data enrichment operations, analytic data integration, and aiding in interpretation of analytical output to meet value management and pricing analytics goals.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating and maintaining SQL queries and routines.
- Build a database of customer level performance metrics from multiple data sources (ie tables and flat files).
- Writes ad-hoc queries based on schema knowledge from multiple data sources for various requirements/scenario testing.
- Responsible for providing technical expertise in the areas of requirements elicitation and documentation, database modelling, database development, customer data integration (CDI), data quality process integration, process automation, and systems integration.
- Using SQL, Data Quality, and process automation tools, this position designs, develops, and implements various value management and pricing analytics database solutions including: data quality and validation, data extraction, process scheduling/automation, and systems integration as needed.
- Collaborates with reporting team, Business Intelligence team, and Platform Data Services team on designing and building automated reports that determine customer traffic acquisition targets and report on other value and pricing KPIs.
- Works with Engineering team and other technical teams to understand database design, implementation, how various databases receive records from multiple data sources.
Requirements:
- 5+ years hands-on experience in SQL writing, or equivalent level of demonstrated knowledge.

- Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Business Objects) is desirable.
- Intermediate user of Excel (Pivot tables, charts and graphs)
Desirable:
- Experience with large scale Data warehousing.
- Knowledge and experience with DB design concepts.
- Comfortable with data extraction from sources including XML, flat files, and Excel.
- Experience with data model design or using HP Vertica for SQL on Hadoop.
- Ability to define problem, collect data, and provide creative solutions.
