Description

My New York based banking client is looking for a Murex Environment Manager with environment management skills and experience to set up infrastructure, connectivity, scripts, configuration management, merging of code and sound knowledge of SVN process to version control Murex app and create a deployment package.

Skills

  • 3 years of work experience on Mx3.1 environment with greenfield implementation experience
  • Good Experience in Unix Operating System, Oracle RDBMS
  • Strong Knowledge of MX.3 architecture
  • Good experience in Shell Scripting, cron scheduling
  • MX Installation procedure - Handon experience on setup/re-configure new & existing Murex environments
  • Good understanding on Mx installation process and Mx binary upgrades, licenses and Murex documentation
  • Understanding of Batch Processing/processing scripts technical configuration
  • Usage of processing scripts API for scheduling
  • Load balancing concepts and exposure of setting up load balancing for Murex app Servers and customization of load balancer and the creation of processing scripts
  • Environment Management & Monitoring
  • Environment planning and allocation, build/refresh, End-to-end support.
  • Experience in performing batch improvements, identifying and fixing long running jobs
  • Experience in supporting distributed apps server configuration on Murex environment
  • Disk Space and Memory Management
  • Import/Export of Murex Database dumps
  • Day to day activities include logs review, client installation, troubleshooting, user dump extraction and monitoring of Murex application
  • Infrastructure, Business engine, Middleware and sequencing layers monitoring
  • Monitoring system memory and Mxml configuration,environment variables and the page file memory
  • Enabling of debug log level and trace file as a part of troubleshooting.

Support Processes

  • Support maintenance activities which includes, daily, weekly, monthly & yearly. (Purging, trace, core & log files clean-up etc.)
  • Areas of support - Murex EoD batch, troubleshooting Murex services, MxML exchanges, interfaces support and Murex reporting
  • Good understanding on the incident and problem management, Release Management, Configuration Management processes

The role is contract and the rate is negotiable up to $1300/day.
