A Global Renewable Energy client is looking for a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to work on their offshore wind farm project in the UK to support the installation, commissioning and operation of the 34kV system during the installation. Our client is looking for the Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to start this 24 month freelance contract from 15th June 2016 up until approx. 31st May 2018, this is a 14 day on/14 day offshore, 12 hour per day. The Senior Authorised Person (SAP) will be reporting to the lead SAP and Lead Commissioning Manager
Responsibility:
- Senior Authorised Persons:
- Define safety procedure for electrical matters in accordance with the client electrical safety rules Energise string and turbine from Offshore Substation (OSS)
- Commissioning and operation of medium and high voltage systems until final handover to the operation
- Preparation of switching schedules, supporting document, shutdown procedures for ensuring that the work is performed in compliance with the relevant safety regulations, law and legislation for execution coordination and monitoring of electrical commissioning activities
- Oversee the testing, commissioning and energisation of all offshore cables and WTG's
- Oversee cabling and termination of HV transformers, Switchgear and HV assets
- Oversee testing, commissioning and operation of the SCADA system, including the fibre optic cabling system
- Preparation, issuing and cancelling of safety documents, including permits and permits to work
- Participating in preparation of snagging lists, non-conformity (NC) and non-conformity reports (NCR)
Qualifications:
- 34kV SAP
- Previous experience with HV systems is essential
- Experience of working within Safety Rules is an advantage
