Site Reliability Engineer
A Site Reliability Engineer is urgently required for an ASAP start with a major client in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The Site Reliability Engineer will have the following skills and experience -
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong experience of working in an agile organisation as for example a lead engineer, team lead, technical manager or technical lead
- Excellent problem solving skills and root cause analysis
- Comfortable with large scale production systems and technologies, for example load balancing, monitoring, distributed systems, and configuration management.
- Strong experience with Scripting (Python or BASH)
- Deep OS knowledge (mainly RHEL)
- Able to read and understand multiple programming languages (eg JAVA, Scala)
- Experience creating monitoring dashboards
- Familiarity with and enthusiasm for software engineering best practices such as testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Problem solving in a straight forward manner using open source software whenever possible
- A passion for contributing to open source software, fixing bugs and implementing features.
The Site Reliability Engineer will be a results driven, team player, as well as pro-active, down-to-earth, energetic and will possess 7x24 mentality.
