The Middleware & Frameworks Group within the Corporate Technology division engineers (ie designs and develops), supports, and operates the communication and data management software tools and infrastructure. These enable integrating business applications with operating systems in a standardized way and whatever the hardware platform (Windows, Unix, Linux, Mainframe, and Tandem) while enforcing (security, availability, operability, manageability, reliability, scalability, portability requirements). The group works in a Lean environment.
Role:
Main Activities:
Within the "Distributed Middleware & Frameworks Java Application Servers" team, take a leading role in introducing WebLogic within the infrastructure. For this, share with the team and document best practices in terms of design, operability, security, guidelines, user guide, intervention guide related to WebLogic.
The team being spread over Paris and Brussels, the successful candidate will work 2 days/week in Paris .
On top of this activity, as a secondary priority, (s)he will also contribute to the team activities.
These consists of maintaining and guaranteeing at group level the technical evolution regarding Java application Servers and Internet platforms infrastructure.
This includes the following:
- Technical analyses necessary to application designs
- Realise and document changes, evolutions to maintain the level of service
- Software installation, maintenance and infrastructure tuning
- Software Release management
- Technical environment administration
- Deployment & supervision, tools Scripting
- 2nd & 3rd level of support for production incidents
- Watch duty role for production support
- Ensure compliance with security guidelines
Profile:
Necessary technical skills:
We are looking for an expert in Oracle WebLogic Server 11g on Linux RedHat Enterprise 6.x in order to help the team develop expertise and a high maturity level with respect to WebLogic.
The expert is also expected to contribute to the regular activities of the team: Implementation and administration of web application infrastructure using the following technologies:
- Integration of the IBM WebSphere Application Server version 7.0 & 8.x products on AIX 6 & 7, Linux RHEL 5 & 6 and Windows 2008 R2 platforms (WAS, IHS web server and Apache based Reverse Proxy Server).
- IBM Tivoli Access Manager and Web Seal based infrastructure.
- Red Hat JBoss EAP 5.x, 6.x
- Advanced knowledge in Unix Shell Scripting
Assets:
- IBM WAS Certification
- Experience with RSA Web Authentication agent for Apache
- Experience with Magic Software Application Server (Magic XPA) is an asset
Language:
- English is mandatory and French is a definite asset
Personal Qualities:
- Good team spirit, ability to work together with different teams located in different sites (in Brussels and Paris )
- Good English writing skills
- Experience working in international organisations
- Flexibility and availability to participate in watch duty role (1 week out of 4)
- Willing to learn new tools and to share the experience
