Senior Python (ETL/SQL/Datawarehouse) Developer Contract Dublin 6-18 MONTHS.
My client a large global financial services leader is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Python Developer to join their team for an on-going rolling contract
We are looking for a talented senior developer to work in the Market Risk Technology team within the Global Markets environment. The successful candidate will work closely with our business partners to define requirements, develop, implement and support key system applications.
You will be be working as part of the Market Risk reporting team, building out data integration applications and contributing to the population of the Market Risk data warehouse. This would involve working on high performance Server Side components and dealing with very large volumes of data to be used for reporting.
The role requires the developer to work with business users across several lines of business and therefore must be adaptable. Different lines of business will have different requirements, processes and interactions. This exciting role, based in our Dublin office, is well suited to strong developers with a keen interest in new technologies and investment banking.
As Senior Python Developer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
* Experience in developing high performance Server Side applications dealing with very large volumes of data. eg ETL or systems integration
* Strong database development with experience in data warehousing/warehousing principals. Preferably with Netezza or SQL Server.
* Experience in at least one OO programming language (Python, Java, C#) and design patterns. Python experience would be advantageous.
* Strong user interaction and problem analysis skills.
* Experience with different SDLCs - Agile/Scrum, "Waterfall" etc.
* Server Side development experience
* Extensive database development
* Ideally previous experience in banking/finance sector but not essential
* Experience/Understanding of Market Risk and Value at Risk an advantage
