Splunk Consultant - Manchester - £400 a day
Our client are a IT Consultancy, who are undergoing significant change at the moment. They are looking for a strong Splunk Consultant to join their team to help with this transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Splunk Logging, Alerting and Dashboarding to support project deploying new technology agent to global desktop estate.
- Reverse engineer and replicate existing security reports and dashboards to search data from new agent.
- New data will need parsing and understanding to map events to existing events.
- Educate consumers of this data about how their queries need to change to search new data sets.
- Create Privilege Access monitoring for Admin activities
- Create Application health and monitoring dashboards - Deployment status, application health etc
- Logging - Configure data collection from SQL DB via DBConnect

- Advanced Splunk Searching and Reporting
- Dashboard development
- Experience using and troubleshooting Splunk DBconnect database data collection
- Experience operating in a Search head Clustered/Indexer Clustered environment
