Description
Global Telecoms organisation urgently require an experienced Security Consultant/Architect to be based with an on-site client in Budapest.
Responsibilities include:
Security assessment and high-to-medium level design
1. Work with the local team and Customer internal party to quickly assess and report on the current status of overall IT security capabilities and maturity across the areas of data centre infrastructure and end user computing.
2. Create a list of high-to-medium detail level technical improvements to "fix the basics" within a short time period.
3. Create a list of long-term improvement recommendations, including non-technical areas such as operational capabilities, processes, governance etc.
Low-level and detailed design for "fix the basics"
1. Use existing security frameworks, designs and policies as starting point to develop detailed network design, including
- New, hardened, network design
- Network zoning and Firewalls
- Improvement and introduction of security tools, such as network monitoring solutions including IDS/IPS, web and mail gateways, logging etc.
- Redesign of operator VPN access platform
2. Develop a detailed design for segregation of application and service user access
- Categorization of end users for access limitations related to work activities
- Categorization of application zones with restricted access
- Design of a remote access platform for segregated management of services
3. For both 1 and 2 above:
- Work with the project team to develop realistic implementation plans
- Advise and seek alignment on technology and product selection
The successful candidate must have a broad knowledge base across Information Security Architecture and be able to show evidence of strong Network Security and Infrastructure experience.
Due to the location and nature of this role you must be a Hungarian speaker with strong English as a secondary language.
