Solution Architect - initially 6 months contract - Belgium
Location: Belgium
Duration: Initially 6 months contract
Rate: depends on experience - to be confirmed
Solution Architects provide the design and communication of high-level structures to enable and guide the design and development of integrated solutions that meet current and future business needs. Changes to service, process, organisation, operating model and other aspects may be required in addition to technology components, and solutions must demonstrate how agreed requirements (such as automation of business processes) are met, any requirements which are not fully met or, and any options or considerations which require a business decision.
Solution Architects typically work within an environment where the systems being implemented are known, therefore it can be anticipated that any request for solution architects will include a requirement for specific product knowledge.
You will be responsible for following tasks:
a) The provision of comprehensive guidance on the development of, and modifications to, solution components to ensure that they take account of relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards and practices and that existing and planned solution components remain compatible.
b) Ensure appropriate standards are adhered
c) Assist in the preparation of technical plans and works to ensure that appropriate technical resources are made available
d) Provides advice on technical aspects of system development and integration (including supporting change management processes)
e) Produces detailed component specifications and translates these into detailed designs for implementation using selected products
Required skills of the Solution Architect:
A broad knowledge of many different types of IT systems and product offerings including both Java and Microsoft .NET software development environments, various integration Middleware platforms, database platforms and others.
