App V Specialist

Job Alias: Microsoft Application Virtualisation/Virtualization Specialist, App V systems Engineer, Customer Application Specialist

Location: Luxembourg

Type: Contract.

Salary: Negotiable.

The Company

ConSol Partners' client are a leading European IT consultancy company, with the End Client being a financial institution.

The Role

ConSol Partners' Client are tasked with the delivery of a new Business application. The will achieve this with in depth analysis of the application requirements, listing the dependencies and install & troubleshoot potential issues. The end goal of this project is to deliver a working App-V stream.

Communication will be mostly in English, but any French/français or Dutch/Flemish language skills are a bonus.

The Individual

The App-V Specialist candidate should have the following:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years (more preferred) of work experience as a BA on APP-V or similar desktop virtualization products.
  • In-depth understanding and experience with Windows desktop and Workstation environments. Experience as technical staff (system admin, developer, engineer) is an asset.
  • Technical Skills such as the use of virtual machines, app debugging, determining hardware dependencies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills such as the use of process monitor.
  • General application packaging skills (MSI)
  • Scripting skills (CMD, VBS and powershell)
  • Must have English Language communication skills.
