To be considered for this role you MUST have Vertica experience

A leading E-commerce business based in Cheshire is currently looking for a Vertica DBA to join an ongoing project. Customer understanding lies at the heart of this organisation and this is interpreted using big data and analytics. The project will be to assist the organisation in the utilization of market leading technologies that are currently at the forefront of the industry.

As a Vertica DBA you will become part of a well constructed team of Business Intelligence professionals utilising technology such as ETL, Tableu and Vertica. To become an asset to this this team you will also be providing expert knowledge of ETL or SQL allowing the team to harness your skills to ensure the prompt and professional delivery of the project.

The successful Vertica DBA must have:

• Extensive experience and in depth knowledge of SQL Server Databases
• Experience in ETL
• Worked with Linux Based applications
• Experience of Column store technologies
• SSAS experience with an in-depth understanding of OLAP cubes & Database design

It would be highly beneficial to your application to have:

• Completed ETL & Cloud integration projects
• Kimball dimensional modelling
• Java exposure
• Experience with Continuous integration eg Jenkins
• An understanding of code management tools
