Senior Ruby Developer - London - £/day
My client, a rapidly scaling EdTech start up, are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Ruby developer to join their team in London. The role will focus initially a large scale redevelopment project.
Responsbilities:
- Design, build and maintain reusable and reliable Ruby code.
- Integration of user facing elements developed by Front End developers with Server Side logic.
- Champion development best practice and the use of BDD/TDD
- Take the lead in building new web projects for use in a wider programme whilst identifying and utilising changes that can be made programme wide for the better.
Requirements:
- Strong experience with Ruby on Rails and other libraries such as RSpec and Sidekiq.
- Solid understand of PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch and Redis.
- Knowledge of Front End dev technologies such as Angular and Bootstrap.
- Exposure to some of the following technologies: Jenkins, Gerritt, Smartcube, Cuberture, Selenium, Grunt, Bower
- Knowledge of multi-tiered applications and microservices
