Your tasks:
- Work together with the hosting delivery unit and design teams to build, implement, deploy and support hosted solutions and to provide technical review and feedback on critical project input documentation
- Make sure the resulting architecture and networks are scalable and adaptable enough to evolve with changing customer requirements
- Own, maintain and develop UNIX/Linux/VMware build documentation & configuration guides and provide input to functional managers to define/refine group practice to meet team objectives
- Provide technical impact assessments and coordinate with stakeholders for project based delivery of UNIX/Linux/VMware planned changes and service amendments, during the early life support phase for new Cloud & Hosting Services
Your qualifications
- Understanding of UNIX/Linux/VMware product best practices
- Capability to debug and resolve complex network problems
- Well versed in multiple technology areas; continuously learning new skills where required
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask and deliver timely and accurate work packages
- Experience of managed services/cloud services/web hosting environment
- VMWare vSphere and IP Network knowledge (CCNA level highly desirable)
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux v3-v7, Suse Linux Enterprise Server v8-v12, Puppet Config and Kickstart deployments would be advantageous
- Know-how regarding Solaris 8, 9 and 10, RHCSA and RHCE is beneficial
- Experience with VCP5 or 6/ITIL V3 Foundation would be advantageous
