Description

Global Renewable Energy client is looking for an Electrical Systems Package Manager for their offshore wind farm project.

Our client is looking for the Electrical Systems Package Manager to be able to start this 12 month freelance contract as soon as possible. The individual will be required to have the capability and experience to deliver a commercial & technical electrical solution for their project.
Responsibilities:  

  • Provide leadership to the multi-disciple electrical package and cable package teams.

  • Cost, Quality and compliance with specifications
  • Be responsible for the delivery of the wind farm electrical system design, supply, installation and commissioning including the onshore and offshore substations. Supply and installation of the submarine export and array cables.
  • Have a hands on approach.
  • Contribute actively to the delivery of an inherently safer wind farm that obtains a sustainable CFD, whilst minimising the cost of energy over the life of the project
  • Work closely with the Lead Electrical Engineer to ensure wind farm system design in accordance with the requirements of the wind farm electrical concept
  • Be responsible for development of invitation to Tender (ITT) packages for all ESI contract packages, coordinating commercial, programme, HSE,QA/QC and technical elements
  • Support the CfD, OFTO and financing strategy groups to align ESI delivery with project objectives
Knowledge and Skills: 
  • Experience within a similar role with an in-depth level of competency in project management
  • Demonstrate significant leadership skills in managing and delivering large scale construction projects within either offshore wind or oil & gas
  • Strong level of competency in contract management, claims management, negotiation techniques and dispute resolution methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of current UK health, safety and environmental legislation, particularly the application of the Construction (Design & Management) regulations 2015
  • Must be highly motivated with a pro-active attitude ensuring adequate interfaces, controls and communication are established and maintained in all aspects of project management
