Description
Unix Systems Administrator wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking sector.Your experience/skills:
- Completed apprenticeship in IT or similar education along with 5+ years of experience as system admin of Sun Solaris and Red
- Proficiency in Incident-, problem and change management including root cause analysis
- Solid working experience of Veritas and RedHat cluster systems
- Strong knowledge of Naming Services, LDAP, ActiveDirectory, System Management tools Virtualization, Scripting and ITIL V3
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German would be a big plus
Your tasks:
- Providing 2nd level support in high available RedHat Linux- / Sun Solaris-based systems and integration of software components
- Conducting test-, integration and production-infrastructure for SUN Solaris and Red Head Linux based applications as well as arranging and managing maintenance on UNIX / Linux systems
- Assisting the integration of new systems and products along with installing, composing and analyzing root cause with storage management tools
- Assuring the quality and performing acceptance tests for UNIX / Linux systems, standard builds and software components as well as analyzing root cause and employing suitable solutions
- Analyzing the system configuration of infrastructure and proposing improvements along with supporting the life cycle projects
- Cooperating application support teams to accomplish disaster recovery tests as well as preparing, revising and updating technical documentation
- Supporting Unix operation team 24 hours/day - 7 hours/week (work outside office hours) as well as assisting project managers in the implementation of new application solutions
