Senior Scala Developer, Java, 12 Month Contract
We are looking for a Senior Scala developer with experience in Java to join a agile team. You will be liaising with product managers and business analysts to evolve scenarios and collaborate with stakeholders to literately develop software. You must be able to work both autonomously and as part of an agile team, and have a true commitment to collaborative development.
Key Skills:
- Expertise in Scala or Java, preferably both
- Familiar with relational databases and optimising queries
- Significant experience using open source libraries
- Commitment to writing clean code and comprehensive, clear tests
- Understanding of designing and maintaining web services (particularly REST), their pitfalls and best practice
- Happy to help out with all aspects of story development including analysis, testing and deployment
- Commitment to designing scalable, robust, secure, maintainable systems
- Keen to pair program and share knowledge with other team members
- Good communication skills and a drive to deliver are essential
