Description
My client, a global investment bank are seeking a Software Engineer in Test to join a development team responsible for building its next generation trading-oriented instant messaging systems. The ideal candidate will be a highly analytical person with excellent communication skills who works well in an Agile development environment.Required:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design
- 2-5 years of Core Java development and testing experience
- Experience with test automation tools (Cucumber/SpecFlow preferred)
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Experience with multi-threaded and asynchronous application development
- Working knowledge of Git and build tools (Maven preferred)
- Working knowledge of Linux
- Experience with agile software development techniques and supporting tools like JIRA
- Ability to understand end-user needs and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users
